We reviewed Youth Crew Officer Responsibility Work Sheets.

 

We were treated to a presentation of the cruise taken by Sea Scout Ship 25.

( Go to Ship25’s web site for more info and related scouting activities ) ship25bsa.org

 

We are working on scanning in the Crew interest and the Crew Capability surveys so we can send them to you E-Mail.

 

Planning for Adult Venture Leaders training in-

( Safety Afloat, Safe Swim Defense, Climb on Safety )

 

Planning a Winter Holidays Dance ( SNOW BALL DANCE) on WEDNESDAY, December 29th at the Fire Hall in East Berlin Mark, your Calendars.  7-11 PM Snacks,( Pretzels and Chips etc.) Drinks,(Hot & Cold) Music and Dancing .A Flyer will be coming out. $5 advance registration $7 at the door. Bring a friend and use the dance as a recruiting tool.

 

Planning a Venture Capture the Flag 24 hr. Challenge at Wizard Ranch the Weekend of May 20-22 Mark your Colanders for this great event. The Venture’s will have a ball.

 

Planning for Venture 2nd Annual Picnic at Tuckahoe, August 21st, 2005     Sunday 1-9 PM

 

Planning for a Venture Week end at Tuckahoe with a Progressive Dinner theme. Each Crew would make its specialty dish and Crew members would travel around to each Crew locations to complete the progressive meal. This would also be a bring a friend event. (For Recruiting Purposes)

 

Picnic Details so far --- We will plan a little each Roundtable

            V-Ball, Soft Ball, Horse Shoes Etc.

            Music and Swimming Pool all day

Hot Dog Eating Contest, Rock Wall Climbing, Swim Races, Bow-Rifle    Competition, Knife/Ax Throwing Competition Etc.

 

Try to have Crew’s participate in their District Camper alls where possible.

Crew 1 Caving and Climbing

 

Crew 30 completed on New roof for Poplar Lodge at Tuckahoe and repair of Mountain bikes for the camp. Going to Climbnasium in November

 

Crew 90 went to Regents Glenn and is planning for 2005

 

Crew 203 Back Packing and Hiking

 

Crew 544 Trail Hikes working Cub day at Tuckahoe

Planning to do more Hands-On Venture Training at VRT Looking for ideas from crew leadership of what you would like you see at future VRT’s ie Bikes, Climb gear, Caving, Camping/Cooking Tents etc.      

 

Crew 911 Doing Fire Fighting Essentials Training with the Crew plus several service projects for Christmas to help folks in need in the East Berlin Area. Working Halloween with Fire Crews.

 

Crew 2069 Completed a Trip to New York City

 

Post 610  Fire Training Placing Smoke Detectors in the Community.

 

Ship 64 Completed the  Race to the Bahamas on the 45 ‘ Ship
