Notes and Discussion October 2005 Venture Roundtable (VSE)

 

Venture Roundtable Next RT is Wednesday Nov16, 2005   7:00 PM Scout Center on White Street.

If you missed the October 2005 Venture Roundtable You Missed:

 

Halloween Dance and Party at East Berlin Fire hall Next Saturday the 29th from 7-11 PM bring the whole Crew they will have a great time. Snacks and Beverages Proivided, Cost $5 in Costume $10 if not.

 

Christmas Dance and Party at East Berlin Fire Hall Wednesday December 28th  from 7-10 PM. Again bring the whole Crew for an evening of good Scout fun. Snacks and Beverages Provided, Cost $5

 

We are working on scanning in the Crew interest and the Crew Capability surveys so we can send them to you E-Mail.

 

Planning for Adult Venture Leaders training in- ( Safety Afloat, Safe Swim Defense, Climb on Safety )

 

 

 

*** NEW DATES AND EVENT AGENDA “Planning a Venture Disaster   24 hr. Challenge at CAMP TUCKAHOE a Weekend in Spring 2006. Mark your Calendars for this great event. The Venture’s will have a ball. This event will be a great way for our Venture Youth to work together and have an exciting time doing it.  The Event will include Disaster Relief for a Water Rescue, A Lost Camper/Hiker with Injuries and A Crash Scene. Training for these Scenarios is being planned for early Spring 2006.

 

 

 

Planning for Venture 3nd Annual Picnic at Tuckahoe, August 22st, 2006     Sunday 1-9 PM

Picnic Details so far --- We will plan a little each Roundtable

            V-Ball, Soft Ball, Horse Shoes Etc.

            Music and Swimming Pool all day

Hot Dog Eating Contest, Rock Wall Climbing, Swim Races, Bow-Rifle    Competition, Knife/Ax Throwing Competition Etc.

 

 

AS A SEPARATE EVENT:

 

Planning for a Venture Week end at Tuckahoe with a Progressive Dinner theme. Each Crew would make its specialty dish and Crew members would travel around to each Crew locations to complete the progressive meal. This would also be a bring a friend event. (For Recruiting Purposes)

 

 

Try to have Crew’s participate in their District Camper alls where possible.

Check your Council Calendars  ??? Do you have a Council Calendar ???

REMEMBER THE ANNUAL  F.O.S.  (Friends of Scouting) DRIVE WILL BE  IN FULL SWING. Please solicit contributions from our VSE Community for this necessary cause in support of Scouting.
